100% of the proceeds from Love McKinley events are used to further the mission of the organization. No member of the organization receives compensation, and the expenses are limited to those associated fundraising activities.
The mission of Love McKinley manifests itself in a variety of ways. These include, but are not limited to,
- An official partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital which is directed at improving the resources available to families throughout the course of treatment,
- Providing financial support to local families
- Supporting research organizations that strive to put an end to this disease.

Johns Hopkins
In collaboration with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, we have helped to initiate a program that will provide families and patients with snacks and beverages during their time in the out-patient clinic. In addition, the initial allocation of dollars from our named fund has allowed us to provide the hospital with a Vecta sensory machine, 13 iPads with portable stands, and licenses for each of these devices to be equipped with the GetWell interactive patient platform.
Local Families
Direct financial support to local families is also a primary goal of Love McKinley.
Since our inception, we have made funds available for local families to use for expenses associated with the care of their child. It has become evident that there are numerous families within the greater Tampa Bay area who can benefit from some form of financial assistance during the time of their child’s treatment.
Pediatric Cancer Research
Through our relationship with Northwestern Mutual, Love McKinley has become a supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
Their mission is to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily for research into new treatments and cures, and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.
Love McKinley is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
